MSNBC in hot water over editing of Mitt Romney speech

While the example here is, of course, the media, this can happen in plenty of circumstances. A speech you make to a group of 10 people or 10,000 will be recorded by anyone with a cell phone camera. The sales presentation you make can be recorded and then used by a competitor to make you look bad. And when it comes to appearing before the broadcast news media, especially when you are a powerful individual like a politician,  every single phrase can be edited to completely change the meaning of your speech. NBC/MSNBC is not the only network guilty of this, and Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney is not the only one being targeted. Both sides do it, and a gullible general public will fall for it. Therefore, you must be aware this will happen, and then be prepared to deal with it in a calm and factual manner. If you choose to let it just go away, that is indeed one tack. But silence on issues that affect your livelihood is not golden, but foolish.

 Thanks to editing, MSNBC changed the entire meaning of the speech and mocked Governor Romney. Make no mistake, the same thing has happened and will again happen to President Barack Obama and every other politician. And it will happen to you, so be forewarned.
